Picture

NSPSS Principal, Elizabeth Cesarski and school teachers, Marzena Stankiewicz and Jolanta Mazurek, attended the annual State Community Language Schools Conference and Professional Development Training Day held at the University of Sydney on Saturday 28 April.
The Conference organisers, NSW Federation of Community Language Schools, stated in the invitation to the event:
We are very proud of this year's Keynote Speakers and Workshop Presenters. Emeritus Professor David Nunan is a world renowned authority on languages and one of his books has sold 4 billion copies. No teacher should miss this once in a lifetime opportunity to learn from him. We are so lucky that he accepted to be with us at our conference and he is travelling from overseas.

Professor Ingrid Piller is an award winning internationally known author and linguist.

There are another 33 specialised workshops for both Teachers and Management presented by teachers from community language schools, research students, language specialists as well as the Head of the School of Education from the University of Wollongong, Professor Sue Bennett.

The Conference will be honoured by their presence, the following Ministers and Members of Parliament.
